Recreation and Open Space
The Whispering Pines Recreation & Open Space Committee will host its second community meeting on Monday, February 6th at which time obs Landscape Architects will present the draft Recreation and Open Space Master Plan.  The draft plan will contain areas of opportunity for recreation and open space development; not specific plans.  Comment cards will be available for resident comment and suggestions.

All residents are encouraged to attend this meeting and provide input.  If you are unable to attend, the draft plan will be displayed at Village Hall and comment cards will also be available.


Attention Whispering Pines Residents:
Carolina water Service has scheduled routine flushing on the water lines in the Whispering Pines
area beignning Monday, February 13th through Friday, February 17th between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

You may experience periods of low water pressure, cloudy or discolored water. You should refrain
from doing any laundry until water returns to normal.


The Computer Club of the Sandhills will meet Monday, February 13
at 4 PM on the lower level of the Village Hall in Whispering Pines.
The program will be a Question and Answer meeting. Questions are being
provided by the members of the Computer Club of the Sandhills
regarding any problems they may be having with their personal
computers. The questions are being asked in advance of the meeting
so that they may be thoroughly researched to come up with meaningful
answers and solutions to their computer problems.
You are encouraged to attend this meeting to increase your 
understanding of how to use your computer.
The computer club meets the second Monday of each month at 4 p.m. 
Membership is open to computer users with all levels of expertise.
Visitors are always welcome.

Notice is hereby given that the following articles are in the custody of the Whispering Pines Police Department.   All persons who have claim or interest therein are to make and establish such claim or interest not later than 30 days from the date of this publication of notice or in default thereof, such articles will be disposed of per NCGS 15-13 and NCGS 15-14.1.  Items will be posted on www.propertyroom.com for sale for bidding.  Claim or interest may be made Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm at the Whispering Pines Police Department, 14 Hardee Lane, Whispering Pines, North Carolina.

WHISPERING PINES THRIFT STORE

Clean out your closet while the weather is keeping most of us inside. The Thrift Shop is in need of all household items from your kitchen to those nicknacks around your house. We are also in need of linens and clothes.

The Thrift Shop is open for receiving Monday and Tuesday, 10 to 1 and open for sales Wednesday through Saturday 10 - 4.
